Mattress e-tailer revamps website

Online mattress retailer Amerisleep, which retails a line of private-label memory foam mattresses, has revamped its Web presence to improve user experience on mobile devices.

According to a news release from the Tempe, Ariz.-based company, “A consumer shopping in a brick-and-mortar mattress shop can easily access the Amerisleep site on a smartphone or tablet to compare features and pricing, and then click to make a purchase at the same time.”

“We looked at human behavior and found that many hate buying a mattress,” said Firas Kittaneh, chief executive officer. “Most of the time mattress shoppers lack the information that would help them with their purchase decision. We now have a solution. Our new website offers the shopper thorough product information, product reviews and competitive up-front pricing, which creates a higher quality online shopping experience.”

On touch-screen devices, users can swipe back and forth between screens to allow easier comparisons. A simpler checkout automatically applies specials promotions and other savings.
