Houston-based sleep shop chain Mattress Firm Inc. has named Tim Oakhill executive vice president of brand management. He is responsible for overseeing brand and communications strategy, development and implementation.
Oakhill is a 30-year marketing veteran with more than 15 years of experience in the mattress industry. Most recently, he was an independent marketing consultant. Previously, he served as executive vice president of marketing for Simmons Bedding Co., where he was responsible for North American marketing and product strategy, worldwide licensing strategy and brand management. Prior to that, Oakhill was a marketing manager at Eastman Kodak and an executive at advertising agency Bates Worldwide, where he managed a number of high profile accounts.
