Camilla Franklin
Textile supplier AEC Narrow Fabrics, which has headquarters in Asheboro, N.C., has hired industry veteran Camilla Franklin as product manager for mattress tapes. She reports to Jeff Crisco, vice president of sales.
Franklin brings to her new post more than 20 years of textile experience, with a focus on design and product development in knitted, woven, jacquard and printed fabrics for the mattress, contract, home furnishings and apparel markets. She also has considerable expertise in trend research, new market development and global sourcing. Most recently, she was with Lava Textiles. Previous employers include the former Blumenthal Print Works and Burlington Industries.
“Camilla’s extensive background in textile design, production and sales allows AEC to work more closely with our mattress-tape customers on proprietary products that effectively position their brands,” Crisco said. “She has been at the forefront of product design for mattress fabrics, incorporating color trends and patterns. Her global sourcing work and award-winning designs make Camilla uniquely qualified to address the growth of our bedding products segment.”
