Textile supplier AEC Narrow Fabrics, which has headquarters in Asheboro, N.C., has hired industry veteran Camilla Franklin as product manager for mattress tapes. She reports to Jeff Crisco, vice president of sales.
Franklin brings to her new post more than 20 years of textile experience, with a focus on design and product development in knitted, woven, jacquard and printed fabrics for the mattress, contract, home furnishings and apparel markets. She also has considerable expertise in trend research, new market development and global sourcing. Most recently, she was with Lava Textiles. Her global sourcing work and award-winning designs make Camilla uniquely qualified to address the growth of our bedding products segment.”
Commenting on Franklin’s hiring, Robert Lawson, AEC Narrow Fabrics president, said, “We welcome Camilla’s global view of fabric trends and best practices for production. Her experience provides a complete connection from design that incorporates the latest trends through high-quality production, which ensures the product performance our customers need. In addition, her familiarity with the mattress manufacturing customer base makes her a perfect choice as product manager for our mattress-tape business.”
