New DesleeClama knitting equipment

New knitters DesleeClama is adding a fully equipped testing laboratory and new knitting machinery to its Inman, S.C., facility.

DesleeClama, a textile supplier with world headquarters in Zonnebeke, Belgium, is adding state-of-the-art knitting machinery and a fully equipped testing laboratory to its North American facility and headquarters in Inman, S.C.

“We are making this major investment to allow us to better service our growing customer base and demand in this key North American market,” said Craig Dunlop, president of DesleeClama North America. “This new machinery will increase our capacity by over 85% and give us more flexibility and innovation capabilities.”

The new testing laboratory will allow DesleeClama to have an even greater consistency of quality both in materials and finished goods, Dunlop added. “Our commitment to this market is deeply rooted in our long-term global strategy and presence. Our mission is to ensure that our clients receive the best service and most innovative products on the market.”

Investments in new circular knitting machines also are being made at DesleeClama’s plants in Brazil, Europe and South Africa, which the company said will increase global output by 35%.
