Foam de Honduras, a 47-year-old vertically integrated mattress manufacturer with headquarters in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, announced the official launch of its licensing arrangement with Tempur Sealy Inc. On Sept. 4, the Honduran company rolled out a collection of Sealy, Sealy Posturepedic and Stearns & Foster innerspring bed sets for distribution throughout Honduras and unveiled a Sealy Centro America website (http://sealycentroamerica.com).
Family-owned Foam de Honduras/Sealy Centro America has distribution facilities in four major Honduran cities and said it hopes to one day expand distribution of the Sealy brand throughout Central America. The producer is a major Honduran manufacturer with a large portfolio of proprietary mattress brands and sleep accessories.
Commenting on the licensing deal signed in 2012, Elias Chahin, Foam de Honduras brand manager said, “We chose Sealy because it is the largest and most well-respected brand of mattresses in the world. They also align very well with Foam de Honduras’s core values of honesty, value and quality.”
