Got Sleep? helping prevent malaria in Africa

Got Sleep?, a mall store concept owned by Sacramento, Calif.-based Sleep Train that floors Serta iComfort and Tempur-Pedic, is helping combat malaria in Africa, a disease that kills one African child every 60 seconds. Malaria is typically contracted at night from mosquito bites. For each mattress purchased at one of its stores, Got Sleep? will make a donation to the United Nations Foundation Nothing But Nets. The campaign provides African families with the easiest and most cost-effective method of preventing malarial infections, bed nets treated with a long-lasting insecticide. Since 2006, more than seven million bed nets have been delivered and deaths from malaria have decreased by one-third.
