Campaign website “Versatile. Durable. Incredible, Polyurethane” is the tag line for the American Chemistry Council’s campaign celebrating 75 years of polyurethane science.
The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry of the American Chemistry Council has launched a marketing campaign in celebration of 75 years of innovation enabled by polyurethane chemistry.
With the tag line, “Versatile. Durable. Incredible. Polyurethane,” the marketing effort employs a website, social media platforms, traditional advertising and event marketing to highlight the invention of polyurethane and its growth into a $19.7 billion industry employing more than 37,700, and touching almost every aspect of daily life. Polyurethanes are a critical component of everything from athletic shoes, to car bumpers, to mattresses.
“We want to recognize this nearly $20 billion industry and the many ways polyurethanes are used in products that we take for granted every day,” said Lee Salamone, the council’s senior director. “Polyurethane’s versatility and durability are essential in a number of industries, from construction to furniture, to clothing, to automotive and we look forward to celebrating the incredible success of polyurethane-enabled products with these industries.”
Members of the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry of the American Chemistry Council are U.S. producers or distributors of chemicals and equipment used to make polyurethane or manufacturers of polyurethane products.
