Mattress major Tempur Sealy, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, will build a manufacturing and distribution center, adding up to 300 new jobs in Plainfield, Indiana, The Indianapolis Star reported Aug. 14.
Construction on the 600,000-square-foot plant is expected to begin in early 2015. The facility will produce and distribute both the Tempur-Pedic and Sealy bed brands. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. reportedly offered the company up to $2.8 million in conditional tax credits and $100,000 in training grants.
