Organic Mattresses Inc. seeks retailers’ input

Organic Mattresses Inc., a manufacturer of third-party-certified organic bedding, with headquarters in Yuba City, California, has invited a diverse group of customers to participate in a new 12-member retailer council. The company, which manufactures the OrganicPedic by OMI brand, will use the council to gather insight and feedback on its products, branding, merchandising, point-of-sale materials and training programs.

“We are taking our cue from the high-tech industry that has benefited from councils like this for decades,” said Kurt Ling, OMI chief executive officer. “The purpose is to draw upon the experiences and opportunities retailers face on a day-to-day basis. … In order to take our brand to the next level, we wanted to tap into the insights of the people on the front line—retailers and customers. This initiative will continue to bring Walt Bader’s decade-long vision to reality, helping us better understand where retail and consumer marketing meets.”
