ISPA Releases 2014 Mattress Industry Report of Sales and Trends

In 2014, the mattress industry continued its upward trend in both unit shipments and wholesale dollar value. U.S. mattress producers shipped over 37 million units and wholesale revenues grew to more than $7.5 billion, reflecting increases compared with 2013 levels of 3.9% and 7.6%, respectively. Average unit selling prices for mattresses and foundations increased 3.6%.

The ISPA 2014 report is packed with other useful industry information on contract sales, imports and exports of mattresses, mattress size data, motion foundation data and retail price point trends. This report also contains information on mattress sales activity in 60 other countries compiled by CSIL Milano and a market analysis by Jerry Epperson of Mann, Armistead & Epperson, Ltd.
