Kaymed’s Declan Reilly dies

Declan Reilly, international sales manager for Dublin-based foam and bedding producer Kaymed, died unexpectedly on April 22. He was 60.

A native of Dublin, Reilly assumed his post with Kaymed in 2009, where his main focus was handling component sales to mattress makers in Australia, Brazil, Canada and China.

Reilly began his professional sales career in the printing industry. He achieved great success in the 1990s, rising to vice president of European sales with printing multinational R.R. Donnelley, managing that company’s Microsoft account.

“Declan’s very sudden death at 60 years of age—from a suspected heart attack—has been a tremendous shock for all who knew him,” said David Moffitt, Kaymed chief executive officer. “(We are) the King Koil Licensee for the U.K./Ireland region and Declan was particularly well known and liked by all the King Koil licensees around the world.”

Reilly is survived by his wife Lynne, daughters Jade and Sinéad, son Stephen, sisters Jennifer and Marie and their husbands, two grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
