Sleep Geek, Leggett & Platt Inc.’s online community for retail sales associates and managers, is celebrating its fourth year of operation. The website and social community, launched in May 2011 by the Carthage, Missouri-based industry supplier, has more than 5,300 members. More than 500 RSAs have graduated from Sleep Geek University, the site’s free professional development course.
Sleep Geek has grown to become an industry-wide resource for information about selling sleep and the benefits of a high-quality mattress, said Mark Kinsley, L&P Bedding Group vice president. “It’s been an incredible journey. We started as a niche social network that generated one article a week. Today, we produce up to five original pieces of content every week, including a podcast, videos, a comic and articles from contributors.”
