Tempur Sealy, Mattress Direct mark Katrina anniversaryMarking the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Tempur Sealy International Inc., with headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, participated in the Make It Home charitable event organized by national nonprofit Good360 in New Orleans.

The mattress maker, along with Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based retailer Mattress Direct, delivered two truckloads of new Tempur-Pedic mattresses and Mattress Direct foundations to more than 150 families who survived the storm. The event spotlighted the challenges of long-term disaster recovery and marked the launch of DisasterRecovery360, which aims to address needs at disaster sites by distributing critical supplies quickly and efficiently, both immediately following a disaster and throughout the full recovery process.

Good360 connects companies with products to donate to the nonprofits that need them, and has helped distribute more than $8 billion in donated goods since 1983.
