Richard Brass

XSENSOR Technology Corp. has promoted Richard Brass to senior vice president of Sleep North America for the company’s Reveal mattress recommendation system.

“Since joining XSENSOR, Dick has been in a position of significant responsibility and his contribution has been instrumental in growing our presence in the sleep market and helping our customers build success using XSENSOR’s Reveal products,” said Bruce Malkinson, chief operating officer of the Calgary, Alberta-based company. “We are excited about the opportunity to continue to build our presence and to work with the best sleep organizations in the U.S.”

Of his new role, Brass said, “I look forward to the continued opportunity to partner with some of the best retailers and manufacturers in North America. One of XSENSOR’s missions is to improve the experience for the retail customer in the mattress-buying process while, at the same time, increasing revenue for both manufacturers and retailers.”

Brass has more than 25 years of experience in the bedding industry. Previous posts include regional vice president of Simmons Bedding Co., president of T3 Recovery Worldwide and marketing director for a key regional retailer. He joined XSENSOR in March 2014 as vice president of sales for Sleep North America.
Reveal is a mattress recommendation system. Retailers can use it to help give customers unbiased information as they select the right mattress for their body; mattress manufacturers can use it to differentiate their products from their competition.
