Laura Allred
Fabric supplier AEC Narrow Fabrics has selected industry veteran Laura Allred to serve as product manager for the Asheboro, North Carolina-based company.
Allred, who reports to Vice President Jeff Crisco, is responsible for developing, merchandising and selling AEC’s mattress-related products, including closing tape, handles, elastics and decorative ribbons.
She draws on her significant experience designing upholstery fabrics, mattress ticking and decorative trims to help AEC customers create innovative tape and handle packages for their brands, according to a news release.
Previously, Allred was key accounts manager for Lava Textiles. Prior to that, she was design director with CT Nassau. She also has held design and product development positions with Culp, Burlington House Fabrics Group and Specialty Textiles Inc.
