Mattress licensing group Restonic Mattress Corp. has promoted Julia Rosien to the new post brand director. She joined the Buffalo, New York-based company in 2013 as brand engineer and, since that time, has had a recognized impact on the overall growth and sustainability of the Restonic mattress brand, the company said.
Rosien re-engineered Restonic’s internal communications structure and was the architect and driver of its successful digital strategy. According to the company’s digital analytics, Restonic’s online communities have expanded 3,000% since Rosien came on board.
Going forward, she continues to help create and execute Restonic’s marketing and communications activities, including public relations, social media, other Web-based initiatives, event support and brand marketing programs. She also develops and directs consumer research.
“In a world where a solid digital media strategy—engaging online communities to connect with today’s consumer—it’s vital to have someone on the team who gets it. Rosien gets it!” said Ron Passaglia, Restonic president and chief executive officer. “Her ability to educate, engage and build relationships with our Restonic brand is of tremendous value to our team.
“We are confident that Rosien’s appointment will allow us to continue to deliver high quality marketing programs, branding and customer communication programs to our licensees, retailers and end consumers. She is a strong asset to our future growth in all these areas.”
Julia Rosien is a digital communications and blogging veteran, and a former president and chairwoman of WithIt, a women’s leadership development network for the home furnishings industry. She has served on various industry boards, including the Better Sleep Council, the consumer-education arm of the mattress industry trade group, the International Sleep Products Association.
