The event raised $5,000, enough to feed 25 children for the entire school year, according to a news release from the Thomasville, North Carolina-based company.
“There are many people in our area who struggle to put one meal on the table for their families per day,” said Greg Wright, WGG president and chief executive officer. “Our goal was to feed as many children as we could. Last year this event was a huge success and it makes it even better that we were able to surpass our donations from last year. Teaming with Fairgrove Family Resource Center really lets us see the direct impact that we have.”
