Media, Pennsylvania-based foam products supplier FXI buys a foam-pouring and foam-fabrication facility in Portland, Oregon, from Hickory Springs Mfg. Co.
The purchase of the 185,000-square-foot plant expands FXI’s manufacturing footprint in the Pacific Northwest.
FXI has operated in Portland for several years at another location but will transition production and its employees to the new plant in the coming months. It also plans to retain existing Hickory Springs employees, according to a news release.
“Over the past several years, we have made strategic acquisitions of well-regarded manufacturing facilities to fuel FXI’s business growth,” said John Cowles, FXI president and chief executive officer. “The HSM facility is a high-quality production facility with well-trained employees. This is an exciting time for all of our people and our customers. Customers will benefit from our expanded capabilities.”
