Cannon Sleep Products, a mattress manufacturer based in Fresno, California, has rebranded as Pleasant Mattress Inc.
The name harkens back to the company’s founding as Pleasant Bag Co. on Pleasant Avenue in Fresno. Pleasant Mattress Inc. also created a new logo to highlight its 1959 founding.
“We see great things ahead,” said Rion Morgenstern, president and chief executive officer. “By bringing focus back to the Pleasant Mattress name, we’re giving a nod to the strong foundation built by the two generations that came before. The fundamentals on which the company was built—hard work, creativity and resourcefulness—remain as sound in our business today as they ever were.”
Pleasant Mattress manufactures bedding under a variety of brand names, in addition to its private-label business.
