Alvaro Vaselli, whose resume includes executive positions with industry supplier FXI (formerly Foamex), has launched online mattress brand Nuvanna LLC, with headquarters in Philadelphia.

Former foam industry executive Alvaro Vaselli has created the Nuvanna online-only mattress brand that promotes a balanced life.

According to a news release, the bed incorporates a health and wellness ethos with the latest innovations in foam technology, delivering comfort, temperature control and “progressive support.” The American-made mattress uses only CertiPUR-US foams and has a sewn cover containing Tencel yarns. A queen-size mattress retails for $890.

The all-foam bed has three layers. A high-density supportive base foam is topped with a middle layer that is meant to be motion-absorbing because it contours to the body. The top gel-foam layer is pressure-relieving and regulates temperature with phase-change material.

“I recently discovered the benefits of pursuing a healthy balance in my own life,” said Vaselli, Nuvanna chief executive officer. “I launched Nuvanna … to help others enjoy the same benefits faster.
