Sleep products manufacturer Bedgear has named Michael Lin Liu director of quality and compliance.
In this new role, Liu is responsible for establishing a robust quality management system for Farmingdale, New York-based Bedgear and its growing network of global operations. Liu will be working domestically and internationally to ensure all Bedgear products and services consistently meet the highest standards.
With 30-plus years in textile manufacturing, research and development, global sourcing, and supply chain management, Liu joins Bedgear with a vast amount of global experience. Most recently, he served as director of fabric solutions for VF Corp.’s Global Material Supply business segment.
Liu’s operational experience and knowledge of supply chains will be valuable in creating standard operating procedures and quality controls in production, warehousing, inventory management and merchandising, according to Bedgear officials. His expertise in textile engineering and sourcing also will serve as a valuable resource.
Liu reports to Evan York, Bedgear director of manufacturing and operations, and is based in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
