Phoenix-based mattress manufacturer and retailer Brooklyn Bedding has developed a mattress collection in partnership with the Furniture First buying group.
The good-better-best assortment is designed to be sold through full-line home furnishings retailers throughout the country. Middletown, Pennsylvania-based Furniture First has 223 stockholder members, representing more than 484 furniture stores in 47 states.
“One of the advantages of owning our own factory is our ability to tailor product to meet emerging market trends,” said John Merwin, owner and chief executive officer of Brooklyn Bedding. “We are obviously thrilled to partner with one of the most respected buying groups in the country. Furniture First allows us to immediately widen our distribution channel for new product, providing access to customers looking for higher end features at attainable prices.”
Brooklyn Bedding manufactures each mattress on demand so retailers don’t have to carry inventory. The company also offers free shipping with no minimum order, allowing partners to pass on the savings to customers.
Brooklyn Bedding’s new Furniture First mattress collection includes an 8-inch Harmony gel-infused viscoelastic memory foam model with a quilted cover; a 10-inch Serene gel-infused viscoelastic memory foam model with a cover; and Indulgent, an 11-inch gel memory foam hybrid model with a Quantum Edge base of 800 individually wrapped coils and a premium quilted top.
With its state-of-the-art equipment, Brooklyn Bedding is capable of packaging virtually any mattress it makes in a box, including top-of-the-line beds with encased coils like the Indulgent. Brooklyn Bedding produces its bedding in Phoenix, and the company also has 19 retail locations in Arizona and Utah.
