BedMart donates beds to nonprofits

BedMart Mattress Superstores, a Portland, Oregon-based retailer with a number of locations in Hawaii, has donated 101 Tempur-Pedic mattresses and GBS Enterprise mattress protectors to three Lihue nonprofit organizations.

The donations on April 6 were part of the mattress retailer’s grand opening on Kauai in the Hokulei Village Shopping Center in Puhi. The mattresses and protectors went to Women in Need, U.S. Veterans Initiative and Kauai Economic Opportunity to help furnish their transitional and emergency housing units. The BedMart family’s goal is to bring a good night’s sleep to as many people as possible, said Elana Stone, vice president. “We’re excited to be in Lihue and grateful to contribute to this wonderful community with the help of these organizations,” she added.
