E.S. Kluft & Co. has named Magali Castillo vice president of marketing. The luxury producer also has hired Drew Pechy as plant manager for its flagship Rancho Cucamonga, California, manufacturing facility at company headquarters.
Castillo is responsible for overseeing all U.S. and international marketing efforts. She moved to Kluft from sister company Vispring, where she had been global marketing director since 2013. Both Vispring and Kluft are owned by international mattress manufacturer The Flex Group, headquartered in Madrid. Castillo first joined Flex in 2007 where she gained increasing responsibility for communications, promotions and new product development for a number of different products and businesses.
“During the last six years, Magali has positioned Vispring as the premier luxury bedding brand in the world and has been directly supporting the most prestigious retailers like Bloomingdale’s and Harrods with their marketing programs,” said Juan Dionis, Kluft managing director. “Her global experience will be essential in our future product developments.”
Castillo reports to Dionis.
Pechy, who is a Six Sigma master black belt, joins Kluft from outside the industry, having served most recently as plant manager for commercial cooling tower manufacturer SPX Corp. Prior to that, he was a plant and distribution manager for International E-Z Up, a maker of folding shelters and accessories. His background also includes eight years as general manager of Exact Global Manufacturing, maker of point-of-purchase displays and store fixtures.
He reports to Luciano Saldana, vice president of operations.
