Sunni Goodman, senior vice president of communications and customer experience for Houston-based sleep shop chain Mattress Firm, received two awards at the 15th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business in New York City Nov. 16.

Goodman was awarded Gold for Communications/PR Campaign of the Year in the Crisis Communications category, as well as Bronze for the Media Relations category. The Gold award recognizes Goodman’s excellence in leading successful public relations campaigns such as the “Snoozetern” launch, which included a multifaceted PR and social media program, as well as crisis communications work for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in 2017.

“I’m so honored to be among the company of other incredible women who were also recognized by the Stevie Awards this year and to take home both Gold and Bronze awards for Mattress Firm,” Goodman said. “This was definitely a team effort and an example of the amazing work, commitment and support I have from my incredible colleagues.”
