Kurl-on, a major manufacturer and retailer of mattresses and home furnishings, with headquarters in Bangalore, India, has purchased Spring Air Bedding Co. India Ltd., based in Pune. The acquired company is a 20-year Spring Air licensee, and an Englander licensee since 2014. The deal transfers those licensees, as well as Spring Air India’s two large manufacturing complexes and 400 Spring Air-branded storefronts, to Kurl-on.
Kurl-on itself operates 10 factories and 93 Kurl-on branded home furnishings and mattress stores across India. Its products also are sold at more than 10,000 dealers in India and the region.
In a news release, Kurl-on said the two American brands would help it fill the growing demand in India for premium mattresses.
