Textile manufacturer Culp Inc., with headquarters in High Point, North Carolina, has elected Perry E. Davis to its board of directors.
Davis currently is executive vice president and president of the Residential and Industrial Product segments for Leggett & Platt Inc., a diversified manufacturer and industry supplier based in Carthage, Missouri. He has held a variety of positions with L&P since joining the company in 1981 and is scheduled to retire early next year.
Commenting on the appointment, Frank Saxon, chair and chief executive officer of Culp, said: “We are delighted to welcome Perry Davis to our board of directors as an independent director. His long tenure with Leggett & Platt in a variety of leadership positions for both residential furnishings and bedding divisions makes him an ideal candidate for Culp.
