McRoskey Mattress Co., a San Francisco-based retailer and former manufacturer founded in 1899, has tapped Charles Davies as vice president of retail and marketing. He replaces Jill Bibo, who joined McRoskey in 2010, moved up through the ranks and recently left to pursue her interest in travel.
Davies is responsible for developing the sales team and growing revenue at the three McRoskey Mattress Co. stores in Northern California. He also manages and executes marketing strategies.
Davies has worked in mattress retailing in various positions since 2006. Most recently, he was district sales manager with Mattress Firm, which, in 2014, acquired his previous employer, Sleep Train.
Davies reports to President Vanessa Contreras, who said: “Based on his extensive industry experience and his proven track record of building and fostering high performing teams, we are pleased to have Charles join our team.”
