Soft-Tex International Inc. has inked a deal to provide Atlanta-based Serta Simmons Bedding LLC with sourcing, supply chain management and marketing services.
A March 5 news release described Waterford, New York-based Soft-Tex as “an innovation partner to SSB, providing multifaceted support across many functional areas related to innovation and development of new mattress technologies.”
Chris Marsh, Soft-Tex chief business officer, said: “We are excited to bring our game-changing technologies to the bedding industry and support best-in-class mattress brands within the SSB portfolio. This collaborative effort will push boundaries of what’s possible in the future world of sleep.”
As part of the business alliance, SSB gains access to more than 100 Soft-Tex patents specific to the mattress category.
“The Soft-Tex and SSB partnership will play a vital role in creating, developing and commercializing meaningful products for our retailers and consumers that solve some of the sleep industry’s toughest challenges,” said Melanie Huet, SSB chief marketing officer.
