Five ‘American Bedding Copper’ mattresses extend healthier sleep choices
DALLAS – Corsicana Mattress will expand its flagship brand American Bedding with a five-model Copper Limited Edition copper-infused mattress collection. COVID-19 has accelerated consumer interest in healthier sleep products, and Corsicana’s new copper collection designed with copper-infused memory foam and new cover technology, highlights the numerous health benefits of the mineral.
The collection offers retailers a choice of flat-pack and rolled mattress designs with the benefits of copper at disruptive price points of $599 and $699 in queen.
Copper has been shown to offer antimicrobial and anti-bacterial properties to provide additional protection. In addition, copper helps maintain a cool sleep environment, has anti-inflammatory properties that help rid the body of free radicals, and has been shown to increase blood flow and decrease recovery time following exercise.
“The sleep products industry has been working at warp speed to deliver healthier sleep products for the past several years. The COVID-19 pandemic has only accelerated consumer interest in copper, in particular, because of all of its healing properties,” said Mike Loomis, vice president of product development and innovation at Corsicana. “We felt that the American Bedding consumer would be a good audience to introduce the copper line to because of its core family demographic. Health and wellness are priorities for all members of the family.”
The five-mattress collection includes three comfort levels – firm, plush and pillowtop –with 12-inch profiles. Corsicana is now offering pocketed spring and copper technology features at an affordable price that has previously not been available at these price points.
All mattress models feature a copper-infused foam comfort layer, and the rolled models include a copper performance fabric zipper cover with a choice of all-foam or hybrid construction.
