Manufacturing veteran Trina Trill, who spent her career with Therapedic licensees in the Midwest, died unexpectedly July 9 from a stroke. She was 55 and a resident of Beachwood, Ohio.

At the time of her death, Trill was vice president of operations for the Rock Island, Illinois, plant, owned by the Bedding Group/Therapedic Midwest. She began her 30-year bedding career at the Therapedic plant in Orwell, Ohio, where she spent close to two decades. Trill started as plant manager and moved up through the ranks, assuming a range of responsibilities in administration, finance, manufacturing and operations. By 2008, she was named president and chief operating officer and, in 2010, she acquired the plant. Upon selling it several years later, she took a position with the Bedding Group, where she was employed for nearly six years.

“Trina did a great job for us in helping us streamline our operation,” said Jeffrey Sherman, owner of the Bedding Group/Therapedic Midwest. “She made us more efficient and better able to serve our dealers. She will be greatly missed.”

According to a family obituary, Trill was an animal lover and lifelong horseback rider who competed in equestrian events for many years following high school graduation.

Survivors include her father, Gilbert Trill; sisters Julia Trill and Tricia Kipp; and many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her mother.

Donations in Trill’s memory may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals by visiting this memorial page created by her family.
