If you’re not thinking about your employees’ future, those employees may become a part of your past.
According to a new survey from The Harris Poll, nearly 90% of American workers say it’s very (54%) or somewhat (32%) important that their employer offers a retirement savings program, such as a 401(k) account. Furthermore, those benefits are so important that two-thirds of employed Americans say they would be very or somewhat likely to switch employers if their current employer did not offer a retirement savings program.
The survey, conducted in conjunction with Funding Our Future and DailyPay, should be a word to the wise, The Harris Poll stated when releasing the results in January.
“These findings are an additional warning to employers that they need to be cognizant of their provided benefits when attracting, retaining and engaging their employees,” Harris stated, “as many are willing to leave for better financial benefits elsewhere.”
