Editor’s Note: For the August machinery feature titled, “Strong Stitches, Powerful Bonds,” we asked industry leaders to fill out a questionnaire about their business. To our delight, some of them gave us so much information, we couldn’t use it all in the print feature. So, we decided to post the entirety of their Q&A’s online, allowing you, our valued audience, to read all their good answers. This interview with Hank Little, president of Atlanta Attachment Co., is the final installment of a four-part, online-only series that we posted weekly throughout the month of August. Most of all, our sincerest thanks to the executives who participated in the sewing and gluing machinery feature and helped to make it a success.
BedTimes: What new sewing machines have you introduced that you would like to showcase? If you haven’t introduced new sewing machinery, then what timely updates have you made to existing machinery?
Hank Little: As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive solutions, we have expanded our range of tape edge machines. The latest addition to our lineup is the groundbreaking 1315R, which incorporates roller technology and features a Windows-based gateway system with Industry 4.0 capability. This cutting-edge system enables seamless connectivity and data exchange between various components of the production line, facilitating efficient communication and improved decision-making. Furthermore, the 1315R offers wireless remote access to our technical service team, revolutionizing the way remote support is provided. With this capability, our experts can swiftly diagnose and address issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity for our customers.
We have some exciting developments in our collaboration with our esteemed strategic partners, Aper SRL and Umit Makina, with groundbreaking gluing technologies that have been specifically designed to revolutionize the ensemble process. This remarkable achievement is a result of our joint efforts and dedication to innovation and excellence in our respective fields.
BedTimes: What are your customers asking for now? What are the key trends driving your business?
Hank Little: In response to the growing demand for automation in the final processes of various industries, Atlanta Attachment has been at the forefront of developing cutting-edge solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Over the past few years, our dedicated team of engineers has been tirelessly working on enhancing our gluing line and mattress closing line to optimize efficiency and streamline operations.
