Spring Air Unveils New Products, Marketing Initiatives at Domestic Licensee Meeting

Woburn, Mass.-based bedding manufacturer and licensing group Spring Air International recently gathered its domestic licensees at Spring Air Texas in Houston to unveil its new product and marketing initiatives for 2025.

According to a news release, the group is planning significant enhancements to its Copper, Back Supporter and Chattam & Wells collections, and a new adjustable base is expected to launch at the Las Vegas Winter Market. The group also participated in discussions about a marketing initiative in January to drive traffic to its showroom in Las Vegas, and how to increase penetration into ancillary sales channels such as its growing hospitality business. The event also included a plant tour of the Houston facility and dinners at two of the city’s top restaurants.

“What makes these meetings so special is the ability for us to engage in a robust dialogue with our licensees. We can present concepts and plans and get real-time feedback to these initiatives. No other licensee group today has this kind of two-way communication and collaboration,” said Spring Air International President Nick Bates. “We are very lucky to have the best independent manufacturers in our industry under our banner. It shows in the dynamic products and services we can offer our dealers.”

Bates’ enthusiasm was shared by many of the participants in the meeting.

“The networking and openness our fellow licensees share is the real value of these meetings. Usually there is not a willingness of people to share strategies and process, but because we are colleagues, not competitors, a meeting like this is rich in best practices learning that will benefit my plant and business,” said Troy Zanatta, president of Spring Air Vancouver and one of the longest-tenured licensees in the group. “The meeting was also very insightful with regard to industry trends and how Spring Air plans to grow and innovate in the coming year.”

“The meeting brings us real value. It gives us a great roadmap for planning our business for the coming year. It is wonderful to work collaboratively with other plants like this to make our businesses stronger and more profitable,” said Chris Sanders, president and CEO of Spring Air’s Idaho facility.

“It was our pleasure to host the Summit Meeting in Houston,” said Brent Ford, executive vice president of Spring Air Texas. “Nick Bates and his team have done an outstanding job in making us a very cohesive licensee group. Nick has made all of us feel like family and he is doing a fabulous job of growing the Spring Air brand. We are so excited about the future and the outstanding products we have developed.”
