Symphony Sleep Adds Video Collection to Help Unlock Retail Sales

The adjustable base manufacturer has added a collection of free sales videos to its marketing toolbox.

Adjustable base company Symphony Sleep aims to solve a common problem for brick-and-mortar retailers by adding a video collection that sells directly to in-store shoppers at the point of sale.

According to a news release, the sales videos are available to all Symphony Sleep retail partners at no cost, accessible via QR code where each product is displayed on the retail floor. Customers scan the code in the remote pocket holder to watch a professionally produced and narrated video of the product they are interested in. Each video is two to three minutes long and demonstrates the product and its key features and benefits.

The initial release of the video collection includes one video for each of the company’s five core adjustable bases: S100N, ES200, ES500, ES600 and ES700. The company also plans to add sales videos for some of its most popular accessories, such as the Elevation Kit, Hi-Low Kit, Sleep Safe and the Sleep Sense sleep tracker, the news release said.

“These videos can solve a real pain point for many retailers — training and retaining retail sales associates — by enabling them to maximize the opportunities of every door swing,” said John Schulte, president of St. Peters, Missouri-based Innovative Sleep Technologies, home of the Symphony Sleep brand.

Schulte explained that the videos can serve as a critical tool in situations such as when the store is understaffed or an RSA isn’t available. The videos can engage the customer and begin the sales process with an introduction to and demonstration of the product. This presale initiative gives the RSA time to continue the conversation, upsell accessories and finalize the sale.

“We are continually looking for ways to solve retailers’ problems and eliminate obstacles to the sale. It’s how Symphony Sleep adds more value to the partnership with retailers,” Schulte said.
