SpunGold LLC Appoints Kim Henley National Sales Representative

Geneva, Alabama-based SpunGold LLC, a manufacturer of fire barrier fabrics serving the retail and contract/healthcare bedding and upholstery industries, has hired Kim Henley as its new national sales representative. 

According to a news release, Henley has more than 30 years of experience in the technical textile industry, including leadership roles in sales, marketing and customer engagement. Her career spans a wide range of performance textile sectors, including flame retardant, cut-resistant, industrial and specialty fabrics. 

Prior to joining SpunGold, Henley served as commercial director at Coats-Pharr HP, where she was responsible for sales growth across the U.S. and Canada. She also held senior roles at Springs Creative, Asahi Kasei Spandex America and Radici-Spandex, where she developed go-to-market strategies, expanded national accounts and launched textile solutions in close collaboration with product development teams. 

“Kim’s deep understanding of performance textiles and her proven ability to build strategic customer relationships make her a tremendous asset to the SpunGold team,” said Mike Slavik, operating manager for SpunGold. “Her expertise will help drive growth in our fire barrier business and expand our reach in the institutional mattress and complete cover system markets.” 

In her new role, Henley will lead national sales efforts across SpunGold’s portfolio of fire barriers and high-performance textile solutions. She will also support the company’s ongoing segment leadership in the healthcare and contract bedding markets, the news release said. 

Henley holds a B.S. in textile management from North Carolina State University and has served on several industry boards, including the American Apparel Producers’ Network and the Synthetic Yarns and Fabric Association. She is a certified QS-9000 lead auditor and a Dale Carnegie graduate.
