AEC Narrow Fabrics hires technical manager

Textile supplier AEC Narrow Fabrics, which is based in Asheboro, N.C., has hired Ronald McBride as technical manager of dyeing and finishing.

In the role, McBride is part of AEC’s research and development department and works with the company’s manufacturing plants in North Carolina and Central America.

McBride is a textile veteran with more than 30 years of experience in fabrics and fibers for the apparel, home furnishings, mattress and carpet segments and is well versed in all aspects of dyeing and finishing. Most recently, he was a textile consultant working in Central and North America. Previously, he held posts in dyeing, finishing, quality assurance and manufacturing performance with the Talon Inc. and the now-defunct Blumenthal Print Works.

“With AEC’s recent acquisition of Telas Elasticas S.à.r.l. in Honduras and our complementary operations in North and Central America, we are pleased to have a person with the depth of experience and versatility Ronald McBride brings to AEC,” said Robert Lawson, AEC president. “His technical knowledge amplifies our ability to provide precise dyeing and specialized finishing for our diverse mix of clients. As we create narrow fabrics with innovative capabilities and expand our customer base, our R&D team and new manufacturing facilities will play key roles. We anticipate great contributions from Ronald McBride.”
