Industry supplier Latex International has rehired Jeff Gober, who will serve as director of component sales for its western division. He is a mattress industry veteran with more than 20 years of sales experience.
Gober is responsible for helping drive sales of latex foam components to mattress manufacturers, focusing on the growing hybrid mattress category.
Gober was with the Shelton, Conn.-based company from 2001 to 2008. He rose to become director of sales for the company’s western division. He is credited with increasing division sales by more than 180% and successfully managing the company’s Evercloud initiative, which resulted in selling out the capacity of the brand’s quilted latex system, a news release said.
Most recently, Gober was an accounts manager at FXI. Prior to that, he held sales and sales management positions at mattress producers Southerland and E.S. Kluft & Co.
“We are delighted to have Jeff rejoin our team, especially as hybrid mattresses are becoming increasingly more important to a manufacturer’s and retailer’s product mix,” said Dave Fisher, Latex International president and chief executive officer. “Jeff is a passionate leader and an expert in cultivating both existing relationships and new business. Moreover, his long history of sales success and extensive knowledge of the bedding and retail environment will make him an instrumental player in growing our business on the West Coast.”
Gober is based in Southern California and reports to Jim Siragusa, vice president U.S. sales and managing director global operations.
