Association extends terms for board members and names committee appointees
The International Sleep Products Association Board of Trustees has named Rick Anthony, vice president of home furnishings for Hickory Springs Mfg. Co. to its board of trustees. He also now serves on ISPA’s Executive Committee.
“Hickory Springs values the work that ISPA does and is pleased to support the various committees and initiatives with our staff volunteers,” Anthony said. “It is an honor to serve on the board and executive committee after previously serving on the Statistics Committee and Better Sleep Council. I welcome the opportunity to contribute to the growth and sustainability of ISPA, our industry and Hickory Springs.”
In addition, the following trustees were re-elected to serve another two-year term on the board: Richard Ayers, Jones Fiber Products; Allyn Beard, A.H. Beard Pty. Ltd.; Michael Faus, Carpenter Co.; Ronnie Ford, Atlanta Attachment Co. Inc.; Michelle Montgomery, Simmons Bedding (part of Serta Simmons Bedding Co. LLC); Jim Nation, Serta International (part of Serta Simmons Bedding Co. LLC); Eric Rhea, Leggett & Platt Inc.; Owen Shoemaker, King Koil; Bryan Smith, Southerland Inc.; Kevin Womble, Vita Nonwovens; and Tony Wolf, Wolf Corp.
The BSC, ISPA’s consumer-education arm, welcomes two new committee members—Brent Limer, director of business development-home furnishings for Hickory Springs Mfg., and Sunni Goodman, vice president of communications for Mattress Firm.
The Statistics Committee also appointed Tim Witherell, director of sales-bedding products for Hickory Springs.
“I congratulate all of our trustees on their re-elections and new committee members on their appointments,” said ISPA President Ryan Trainer. “As ISPA continues our strategic planning process, I look forward to the input from these industry leaders to help guide the association as it addresses common industry issues.
