Reliable Furniture Services of America LLC has created a new inspection program for mattresses using its patent-pending Body Contour Instrument.
The new hands-free inspection device has two 6-inch, self-adjusting rulers on top and two 16-inch side rulers to measure borders. It adjusts from twin to king sizes. The company will show the device at ISPA EXPO 2012 March 14-17 in Indianapolis.
“Being in the furniture business for over 40 years, I saw a need to develop a professional device to measure body impressions, as well as for border defects, such as sloping or bent border wire issues,” said Charles Conigliaro, Reliable Furniture Services president and chief executive officer. “The crude devices used today are not very professional, especially for today’s sophisticated and demanding consumers. Our instrument has been tested and engineered to give accurate measurements every time and has a very professional look.”

Its mattress inspection arm, Mattech Inspections Inc., is conducting mattress inspections using the new Body Contour Instrument. The company also offers customers technology that enables real-time reporting and automated scheduling.
“Our accounts can track defect frequencies by style, size and retailer with one click,” Conigliaro said.
