Recovery Systems obtains Ironman licensing rights

Recovery Systems International in Vancouver, British Columbia, has acquired the rights to license “the Official Sleep Products of Ironman” from Tampa, Fla.-based World Triathlon Corp., which operates 180 Ironman athletic events worldwide each year. Recovery Systems controls the worldwide rights to sublicense the Ironman brand in the sleep products category.

“Ironman offers mattress manufacturers a unique, recovery-based story and brand for their customers,” said Joseph Carman, Recovery Systems president. “We see this as an exciting time for the industry and our experienced team looks forward to helping manufacturers around the world increase the profitability of their brand portfolios with the Ironman name.” Recovery Systems is owned by a global consortium of mattress and home textiles manufacturers.

There are currently five licensees in four countries manufacturing Ironman-branded sleep systems. The newest licensee to the group is bedding products manufacturer Ecus do Brazil in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
