Airbed manufacturer and retailer Select Comfort Corp., with headquarters in Minneapolis, has introduced the Sleep Number m9 memory foam bed. The bed combines the company’s adjustable DualAir technology with new LuxFit memory foam. The m9 bed joins the Sleep Number m7, which has CoolFit memory foam and gel technology, as part of the Sleep Number Memory Foam Series.

Sleep Number m9 has 5 inches of “temperature-balancing” LuxFit memory foam that’s “designed to absorb excess body heat,” the company said. The ticking is made with natural fibers. Mattress height is 13 inches. The retail price of a queen bed set is $4,699.98.

“At Sleep Number, we believe the best sleep is individualized to meet the needs of each customer, therefore we are constantly advancing our products to provide meaningful benefits that improve our customers’ lives,” said Annie Bloomquist, senior vice president and chief product officer. “Since each customer is so unique, the Sleep Number m-Series combines the ability to adjust each side of the bed to a sleeper’s ideal level of comfort with different soothing and conforming memory foams.”

Select Comfort also has launched the FlexFit Fully Adjustable Sleep System. The system includes either the Sleep Number FlexFit or the FlexFit Plus with massage feature. The suggested retail price of a queen-size FlexFit base starts at $1,699.99.
