Ashley Furniture donates beds for kids in need

Ashley Furniture HomeStores donated hundreds of new beds to needy children in June, bringing the total number of donated beds to 3,000 since the retail chain’s A Hope to Dream program launched in 2010.

Participating stores give $5 for every mattress sold. The goal is to donate 4,000 new beds by year-end.

“We now have over 200 Ashley Furniture HomeStores participating in A Hope to Dream, not to mention dedicated partners and community members who continue to make a difference in the lives of many children,” said John Disa, president of Arcadia, Wis.-based Ashley HomeStores Ltd. “Without their help and passion, the program wouldn’t be where it is today. It truly is a group effort.”

The program is being expanded and the company is donating a new bed set every time a customer purchases a Special Edition Ashley Sleep 16-inch memory foam mattress from a participating store.
