In honor of its 20th anniversary, the International Oeko-Tex Association, headquartered in Zurich, will host textile business leaders at The Next 20, a seminar featuring experts who will present their visions for the industry’s next 20 years, especially with regard to sustainability and the environment.
The event is scheduled for Nov. 14 in New York. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an award-winning environmental advocate and author, will deliver the keynote.
The association is a collaboration of 15 independent textile research and testing institutes with 65 offices in 60 countries. It created and administers the global Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which certifies that textile products are tested to be free from harmful levels of more than 300 chemicals.
