Leggett & Platt Fashion Bed Esquire decorative bed frame

Fashion forward: Leggett & Platt’s Herman Tam points out the Esquire decorative bed frame’s burnished hardware paired with weathered wood.

Leggett & Platt added a number of new Fashion Bed decorative headboards and frames at the winter Las Vegas Market Jan. 28-Feb 1.

Retailer reception to the new offerings was “phenomenal,” said Herman Tam, group vice president of sales and marketing for Whittier, Calif.-based L&P Consumer Products Group. He singled out the Esquire model with its “Restoration Hardware styling—weathered wood and titanium hardware accents” as a crowd-pleaser. The headboard and base retails for $549 in queen size.

There were more than a half-dozen new metal and wood decorative bed frames on the showroom floor. Frames retail for $199 and up in queen. The company also added more colors—including a sky blue—and new styles to its upholstered headboards collection, which launched in 2011. Headboards alone retail from $299 to $399 in queen. The wingback headboard and bed frame with clean, contemporary lines now is available in a shallow and deeper wing style and retails from $699 to $799 in queen.
