Robert Patten
Boyd Specialty Sleep, which has headquarters in St. Louis, has hired bedding industry veteran Robert Patten as East Coast vice president of sales.
Patten is responsible for sales and sales development of the mattress producer’s specialty sleep products in 16 states. Patten also is handling East Coast sales of Boyd’s bedding and sleep accessories manufactured under its Thomasville and Broyhill licenses, as well as Boyd Accent Furniture.
Previously, Patten was senior vice president of sales at Advanced Sleep Concepts, an Englander licensee. Prior to that, he held executive sales positions at Natura World and the former Spring Air Co. He also has held posts in sales training at retailer Rooms To Go and was a national accounts director with Simmons.
“Robert has extensive experience in our industry and over the years has made many great contacts,” said President Denny Boyd. “He’ll be a valuable asset to our company and we look forward to his contributions.”
Patten reports to Boyd and is based in Atlanta. He will begin his new post July 27 and will attend the Las Vegas Market July 29-Aug. 2.
