St. Louis-based mattress maker Boyd Specialty Sleep has tapped Scott Price for the new role of international buyer.
Price is responsible for purchasing components, equipment and other materials needed for the design and manufacture of Boyd’s line of sleep products and accessories in the United States and overseas.
Previously, Price was the senior buyer of power equipment for Sears Holdings, representing more than 1,900 store and $370 million in purchasing dollars. From 2012-14, he served as the senior buyer for hardware, automotive, fans/heaters and pet merchandise at the Roses and Maxway stores, and Super 10 stores. Prior to that, he was senior buyer for the 1,100-store Tractor Supply Co. chain and also held buyer and divisional merchandise manager responsibilities at Fred’s Discount Stores.
He reports to President Denny Boyd.
