Bedding major Hilding Anders, with headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, has inked a deal with the Chinese hotel chain Wanda Corp. to deliver $5.7 million worth of Slumberland brand mattresses to 27 five-star hotels in China through 2014.
“We have been implementing a rapid revitalization of the Chinese organization during the past 12 months, including installing a new management team. It is very encouraging to see that leading customers recognize our improvements by honoring us with a prestigious contract at that early stage of our change,” said Wong Wai Hong, region president for Hilding Anders in Asia.
Hilding Anders Asia represents 8% of net sales within the larger company.
