Hilding Anders subsidiary prospers in Russia

European mattress major Hilding Anders, which has headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, has announced that its Russian subsidiary HC Askona will add 150 Hilding Anders-branded retail stores selling multiple brands over the next two years. Askona is a vertical manufacturer and retailer that currently operates 100 retail locations in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States—a regional organization composed of 11 former Soviet republics.

The 14-year-old Russian subsidiary recently produced its 10,000,000th mattress and now controls about 40% of its market, a Hilding Anders news release stated. HC Askona’s assembly lines produce 6,700 mattresses per day, twice its 2010 production rate.
