Dormeo Octaspring announces rebranding, prepares to select contest winner

Dormeo logoSpecialty mattress maker Dormeo Octaspring has rebranded as Dormeo N.A. and created a new tag line, “Mattresses and Pillows Reinvented.”

The Plano, Texas-based company said the change reflects its move toward manufacturing product in the United States and the upcoming broadening of its portfolio to include other core components. The new branding will be on display at the Dormeo showroom B-922 at the World Market Center, during the Las Vegas Market Jan. 26-30.

“With consumer and retailer demand for hybrid product offerings on the rise, we knew it was a good time to take our product portfolio to the next level,” said Dany Sfeir, Dormeo chief marketing officer. “We believe that by pairing Octaspring technology, which is known for combining the benefits of both memory foam and innersprings in one product, with other materials, we can offer a unique product that others in the specialty sleep category can’t.”

Also during the market, the company will announce the winner of a 2013 Range Rover Evoque adorned with the Dormeo logo. The contest, which launched on Labor Day, asked contestants to create and submit a 30-second TV commercial for the mattress brand. Dormeo received 700 entries from across the United States and will choose a winner from a collection of finalists in a drawing at its showroom Jan. 27. The company said it plans to produce and air the winning commercial.
